Accessibility Statement

Last updated: August 24, 2020

Introduction

AIME ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to the user's ("you" or "your") ease of access and in supporting their right to access our digital content despite any potential disability. This policy summarizes our position on how we make our website accessible to customers and guidelines for our usability standards. This commitment reflects the value we place on the ease of use of our customers, business partners, and others who interact with us.

This Policy applies to all Internet sites and mobile applications operated by or on behalf of AIME and includes AIME entities worldwide. It also applies to content AIME may otherwise distribute: (i) through our products and services; (ii) when you interact with us by means other than through AIME websites or applications (e.g. in person, by telephone, or at a trade show or training); and (iii) from our customers, distributors, suppliers, vendors, and other business partners (collectively “Business Partners”). This Policy concerns your access to and use of the www.aimeusa.com website as well as all Internet sites, mobile applications, products, and services operated by or on behalf of AIME and includes AIME entities worldwide (“AIME Sites”).

However, different AIME websites, apps, products, and services have different purposes and features. If additional or different disclosures are required for a specific AIME Internet Site, App, product, or service, then we provide those disclosures separately on, or with, the relevant Internet Site, App, product, or service. Each such specific accessibility disclosure, policy, or statement (“Specific Accessibility Statement”) supplements and amends this Policy.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. AIME is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level A. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. Our goal is full WCAG 2.1 Level A conformance.

Compatibility with Browsers

AIME’s website is designed to be compatible with the most recent versions of the following browsers:

  • Firefox
  • Google Chrome
  • Internet Explorer
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Safari

Technical Specifications

Accessibility of AIME’s website relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • CSS
  • HTML
  • JavaScript

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

Limitations and Alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of AIME’s website, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions, if any:

  • Scroll functionality

Scroll functionality on our website is overridden and redefined on desktop sites, and may therefore interfere with accessibility software, but is operational with all compatible browsers; mobile users should not experience any impairment to their scroll functionality

Assessment Approach

AIME assessed the accessibility of our website through the following approaches:

  • Internal evaluation
  • Website testing

Evaluation Report

An evaluation report for AIME’s website is available at:

http://aimeusa.com/reports/accessibility

This report details the specifics of AIME’s partial conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level A and was created through the internal analysis of two specific webpage samples from the public website of AIME USA: AIME’s Home Page, www.aimeusa.com, and AIME’s Contact Us page, www.aimeusa.com/contactus, on June 30th, 2020.

If any modifications were made to either page following June 30th, 2020 that substantially affected webpage accessibility, the meeting of these Level A accessibility criteria may not yet be reflected in the linked Evaluation Report.
